The Salvation Army "Rock The Red Kettle" Holiday Special Wins Bronze Telly Award

Holiday fundraising special in partnership with Sony Music Nashville and Sinclair Broadcast Group wins Bronze Telly Award in Social Responsibility Category

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (June 28, 2021) The Telly Awards, the world’s largest honor for video and television content across all screens, has announced this year’s winners, which includes a Bronze Telly Award to The Salvation Army for the 2020 Rock the Red Kettle special, in partnership with Sony Music Nashville and Sinclair Broadcast GroupThe special supported an effort to rescue Christmas for millions of Americans facing increased need due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sony Music artists Robert Counts, Adam Doleac, Niko Moon, Mitchell Tenpenny and Rachel Wammack performed Christmas favorites on the Rock the Red Kettle special that was shown on Sinclair Broadcast Group's streaming service, STIRR. The special offered uplifting and encouraging music, messages, and testimonials for viewers, while showing them how they could help rescue Christmas in their own communities.

The Rock the Red Kettle special was produced by Sinclair Broadcast Group and aired exclusively on their free, over-the-top streaming platform, STIRR, on December 16. You can listen to a playlist of songs featured in the special by Sony Music Nashville artists here.
