The Salvation Army and Sheetz For the Kidz Deliver Holiday Joy to 12,500 Children in Need

Jan 24, 2025

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (January 24, 2025)— The Salvation Army and Sheetz For the Kidz™ have renewed their impactful partnership, spreading holiday joy to families in need during a challenging season. With inflation driving up costs for rent and utilities, many parents are forced to make difficult choices between paying bills and buying gifts. Together, The Salvation Army and Sheetz For the Kidz have stepped in to provide toys, clothing, and other essential items, making the season brighter for children across the country.

“The Sheetz For the Kidz Holiday Program brings relief and joy to parents and children during the holidays, demonstrating love beyond need. We’re deeply thankful for Sheetz’s commitment to uplifting families in these trying times,” said Commissioner Kenneth Hodder, national commander of The Salvation Army.

The partnership has been a constant source of hope and joy for families. In 2024, the program proudly continued its remarkable 32-year legacy of giving, continuing to make an impact. Sheetz For the Kidz contributed over $2.7 Million in new toys, clothing, and essentials, bringing smiles to more than 12,500 children.

“Our proud partnership with The Salvation Army goes far beyond the toys and clothing, as we know the relief this program has provided to so many families for the past 32 years,” said Brittany Funcheon, Sheetz For the Kidz Executive Director. “We are humbled by the outpouring of support that we receive from our customers, employees, and business partners that allows us to continue to support even more kids in our communities each holiday season.”

With the support of partners like Sheetz For the Kidz, The Salvation Army can provide holiday assistance to nearly 2.5 million people each year, including one million children. This vital support ensures families can experience the magic of the holidays while addressing immediate and long-term needs.
