Finding Stability in the Midst of Chaos
Temeshia knew a chaotic environment wasn’t healthy for her children, so she committed to finding stability. After a few detours, The Salvation Army helped her find hope in a new home.
Temeshia and her four children became homeless for several months after a period of instability. Seeking guidance and support from her family, Temeshia packed up her children and moved to Texas to be with a cousin. But family discord and disagreements became the norm, and Temeshia left. The family was once again without proper shelter.
Determined to keep her children safe, Temeshia called numerous family shelters only to be turned away due to lack of space. But she found help and hope at The Salvation Army.
After addressing the family’s immediate shelter need, a Salvation Army caseworker set about helping Temeshia find stable housing. The family recently received a housing service match and are looking for a home to call their own.
